Privacy Policy

TinyTome ("we", "the app") is a small personal notes-and-tasks app built by an independent developer. This page explains what information TinyTome collects, why, and how it's handled.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Your name and profile picture
• Your email address

As you use the app, we store what you create:

• Your notes, tasks, tags, and any comments you add to them
• Dates, times, and durations you set for tasks
• Email addresses of guests you invite to an event, and a short history of people you've invited before (so you can pick them again quickly)
• Contacts you save for quick invites — just the name and email you give them
• If you add someone as a TinyTome friend, their name, email, and profile picture (and, symmetrically, yours is stored on their account)

If you connect Google Calendar, we also store an access token that lets TinyTome create, update, and delete calendar events on your behalf — only for the calendar tasks you explicitly choose to sync.

How we use it

• To show you your own notes and tasks, and keep them synced across your devices
• To create, update, and remove Google Calendar events when you add a task to your calendar
• To send invites and Google Meet links when you add guests to an event
• If you use Cue, the built-in assistant, the text you send it (and the relevant notes/tasks it needs to answer you) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. When it's relevant to what you're asking — like sharing something with someone — the names and emails of your saved contacts and friends are included too, so Cue can act on it. If you've connected Google Calendar, your free/busy blocks for the next 14 days are included as well, so Cue can flag scheduling conflicts. Anthropic processes this text to return Cue's reply; it is not used by us for anything else.
• If you share a note or task with a friend, a copy of its title, description, tags, and comments is created in their account, and stays in sync as either of you edits it, until one of you removes it or unfriends the other
• We send account-related emails — a friend request or acceptance, updates on something shared with you, and replies to feedback you send us — from team.tinytome@gmail.com. Most of these can be turned off from Settings, and every email has its own one-click unsubscribe link
• As the developer, I can see basic aggregate usage (like how many people used the app on a given day) and anything you submit to me directly through the in-app Feedback form. I cannot see your notes, tasks, or messages to Cue otherwise

Where it's stored

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Firebase's standard protections.

Sharing

We don't share your data with third parties except:

• Google — to authenticate you and, if you choose to connect it, to sync tasks to your Google Calendar
• Anthropic — the message/content you send to Cue, and (when relevant) your saved contacts' and friends' names/emails, solely to generate its response
• Anyone you explicitly invite to a calendar event (their email address is sent to Google Calendar as an invite, same as if you'd added them yourself in Google Calendar)
• A person you add as a TinyTome friend, or share a note/task with — they see your name, email, and profile picture, and (for anything you share) its content. This is mutual: you see the same about them

AI processing & Limited Use compliance

Cue is powered by Anthropic's Claude API — TinyTome does not use any other AI/ML provider, and does not route requests through an aggregator, gateway, or multi-model hub. TinyTome calls the Claude API under Anthropic's Commercial Terms, which prohibit Anthropic from using that data to train or improve any foundational or generalized AI/ML model; data sent to Cue is retained by Anthropic only briefly, for abuse-monitoring purposes.

The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

• You can disconnect a Google Calendar account at any time from within the app.
• You can remove a friend, delete a contact, or unshare an item at any time — this stops any further syncing, though a copy already on the other person's account is theirs to keep or delete.
• You can delete individual notes or tasks, or use the "Reset TinyTome" option in Settings to permanently delete all of your notes and/or tasks.
• To delete your account and all associated data entirely, email us (below) and we'll remove it.

Children

TinyTome is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
